An IT firm from Annesley has been nominated for a national retail award. Fresh from winning two awards at the Nottinghamshire Business Venture ceremony in October, Bear IT has been nominated in the PC Retail Awards taking place at the Café Royal in London later this year.

WINNERS GRIN AND BEAR IT!

A Back-to-basics IT firm has scooped the top prize in an awards scheme run by a Notts enterprise agency.

Bear IT, based at Sherwood Park Annesley, was last night named Enterprise of the Year in Notts Business Venture's annual Spirit of Enterprise Awards.

The company, which will only take on IT engineers if they can talk in layman's terms, was one of six winners at the event, which puts the achievements of young small firms in the spotlight.

Bear IT, which is run by Mark Lambert and Adam Harris, also won the Norman Allcock Business Growth Award, receiving its trophies at a ceremony last night at the East Midlands Conference Centre.
